To:  The country Director   Dentists without limits    Lusaka

Dear Sir,
We would fore mostly like to thank your organization for the dental services that were offered to 73 youths who had traveled to Siavonga for camp. The dental services which ranged from tooth removal, scaling
and dental fillings were appreciated by both the youths and SOS  Children?s Villages Zambia.  We are truly thankful for your service........

> In view of the wonderful service that had been offered, we would be grateful if you would extend this service to other children currently resident in the Villages in Zambia. We currently have a total of 265 children under our family based care in Lusaka while a larger number are being supported within the surrounding communities. Your support in providing dental services to our children will be highly appreciated as this will forestall a lot of dental problems that would have developed without your support. It will also be a great saving for SOS Children?s Villages Zambia which sorely depends on Charity.

SOS Children?s Villages Zambia is a private, charitable non-governmental organization affiliated to SOS Children?s International, a world-wide child welfare organization, with a presence in over 132 countries World wide and it has been operating in Africa for 40 years.

The SOS Child care model is a multi-faceted approach which tries to meet all basic needs of a child.  Apart from offering an alternative home for orphaned and vulnerable children, it has diversified its parameters by reaching out to other orphaned and vulnerable children in the poorer communities surrounding the children?s Villages. Any assistance you will offer in this endeavor aimed at the successful development of the Zambian children will be highly appreciated. It is our hope and trust that you will respond to our request.  We also hope that we might work together in other areas such as the sponsorship of children who would like to be dentisists and activities that aim at the promotion of the wellbeing of women.

We thank you in anticipation,

Grendah Chisanga

Die Antwort von DWLF am 11.10.2011:

Dear Grendah Chisanga,

thanks for your nice letter. DWLF is existing since 6 years and we are expanding.
Our strategy is to go out in groups with around 4 DWLF Helpers and native dentists with the Mobile DWLF Dental Clinic (MDDC),
to bring an effictive dental help to the disadvantaged people in remote aereas - the main aim is - besides taking away the pain to everybody -, to make treatment to the children, to train them in prophylaxis and tell them about the danger of sugar and good nutrition.
The only thing we demand for the helpers is, that your organisation will bring them and the equippment  from Siavonga to the point, where they were needed, to give them food and a sleeping place free.
They will make then treatment free of charge.

All the organisation we lay in the hands of Herman Striedl, the DWLF responsible for Namibia. Please make all agreements with him and send your mails as a copy to Cc:    Diese E-Mail Adresse ist gegen Spam Bots geschützt, Sie müssen Javascript aktivieren, damit Sie es sehen können , the headquater of DWLF; to Dr. Dieter Lehmann: Diese E-Mail Adresse ist gegen Spam Bots geschützt, Sie müssen Javascript aktivieren, damit Sie es sehen können and to Dr. Heiner Kraft: Diese E-Mail Adresse ist gegen Spam Bots geschützt, Sie müssen Javascript aktivieren, damit Sie es sehen können These are two dentists from Germany, who are very much engaged in Zambia by their heart.

I hope, we will have a good cooperation.

With best regards
