Kosten für Helfer, wenn sie unseren Vorschlägen folgen wollen:

Hauptsächlich:  Flugkosten, Übernachtungmöglichkeiten  in frisch
renovierten 2 Doppelzimmern  mit Duschbad stehen zur Verfügung.

Vermieter: Mutter von Ramesh Shrestha

Achtung! Jetzt seit 2010 gilt:

35 Euro pro Woche pro Zimmer bei Einzelbelegung / incl 2x tägl. Essen.
45 Euro pro Woche pro Zimmer bei Doppelbelegung / incl 2x tägl. Essen.

Fragen beantworten.

Schreiben vom 28.8.2008 aus Trishuli:

Lions Club of Nuwakot-Trishuli

Introduction:

Lions Club of Nuwakot-Trishuli was established as a form as Lions International,
Dist.325 B, Nepal branch with objective of providing social services by
the highly enthusiastic, energetic and
self motive youngster and adults in 7thNov,1998.

There were only 20 members of it in tis establishment
ere and the office was conducted up to 2 years without paying
in my own house and Lion Shreekrishna
rijal became the founder president an I was secretary.
Now Lion Binaya Prasad Lamichhane is a President and I have
been working as a director. Before being director I was club president,
zone chairman, Region chairman, district advisor and district
chairman in various subject. During my period the club has provided
various social service , free health camps such as cataract operation, ENT
surgery, Plastic surgery for burn case and cleft-lip, Dental camps, Blood
Donation programmed etc. in various times. In the same course of time, we
started to construct its own building achieving the land as a charity by the
two gentleman , Mr.Babulal Shrestha and Mr. Buddhilal Shrestha in Bidur
municipality-9, Nuwakot. We also achieved some assistance and loan from
the local residences .After the constructing the building, dental care center
was inaugurated by Mrs. Sujata Koirala, the Chairperson of
SUSHMA KOIRALA MEMORIAL TRUST in 10th of February 2002.
Since then, the centre has been providing the regular service to
the those people, who are from the local community as well as
from the remote place from the district having low income power, till now.

Dental health scenario in Nuwakot District

Nuwakot is a district which has been occupied with the people of different
ages and ethnicity. The total literacy rate of people in Nuwakot is 51.40% c
ontaining 62.04% males and 40.07% females. And the approximate life is 63.57.
Since most of the people live in hilly and remote areas, they are not conscious
about their dental health. Further more, more them 80% people living in for
more remote villages, including Tamang, Gurung and Magar have been identified
to be victim of dental problem. Still more such people are women crossing
40 years and the children. This is due to the lack of consciousness of poverty
and lack of awareness.

Main Dental problems:

Now a days people have been excessively suffering from main Dental problems
such as Dental Caries, pulp expose, Deep Caries and Gingitivities. In the
context of Nepal people are dented of getting proper treatment because of
lack of money though they are interested.

Condition of Lions Dental Service Center

This Dental care centre has been providing the proper services in its own
building located at Bidur Municipality-9, Bagtar, Nuwakot. It is the only
community Dental care centre of Nuwakot, having 288478 populations. It is
very challenging to provide equal access of the dental service to the people
who have been living in rural areas with low income sources.

Except providing regular services in the dental clinic, it has been providing
various dental services to the rural areas. It has been also going to the further
ahead. To provide treatment with nominal fees and to provide high
remuneration for the technicians, it is very difficult to conduct it. In the past,
this clinic has been uplifted by the manager of SKM hospital
Mrs. Christa Drigalla providing modern equipments needed for dental checkup and helping through
DENTAL WITHOUT LIMITS FOUNDATION.

Likewise written agreement between the Lions club of Nuwakot-Trishuli
and DWLF. DWLF has also done to manage volunteer dentists.
Before having this agreement, some German Dentists have
already providing the volunter service in this centre. There are all total 88
health organizations it this district. Among them, there is only one dental care
centre i.e. Lions Dental Care Center with the doctor-patient ration ia9:51742.
Some private medical centre has also been providing dental services time to
time. We hope that the help provided through DWLF will be prominent and
outstanding for our community in the days to come and we express our
heartfelt thanks to the Chairman Dr. Claus Macher, project manager
Dr. Birgit Calenberg as well as the all members of DWLF. Specially thanks
to Dr. Huib and Elke Van to install the new Dental cahir,Dental X-ray ,Compressure ,etc.

Furthermore, we have recently achieved Nrs. 100,000.00 from DWLF to
maintain the dental centre for which we, people of Nuwakot would express
our great fullness to DWL for such kind of genuine support.

It very necessary to have a qualified experienced dentist in this clinic. But we
have no capacity to pay the remuneration for the dentists because people
have low income in our community and our service charge is very just a
nominal. Likewise this centre also needs some administrator, clerks such
as office assistant and cleaner. Recently, we have made an agreement with
DWLF by which we hope that dental health service will have the long term
positive effect to the hilly district like ours.

It has been facing many obstacles and barriers since its establishment era
to conduct this dental clinic. Due to the lack of proper fund we are not able
to manage good underground water storage tank, overhead water storage
tank, water pump, water purified system, power backup system, compound
and gate of the dental care centre. So we are seeking various donors adding
next store in the present building in order to generate regular and sustainable
income sources, such collected money from different sectors will have been
spent to conduct free dental seminars and treatments by the care centre.
We hope the contribution of your organization will be great for our social
and public work.

Here I try to show a summery of the treatment after we had made the
agreement with DWLF.

some 5 patient got the RCT. And everybody got sIn the above, 60% patients have
extraction, 30% have scaling and filling and 10% are just have a checkup. Out of them
ome dental and oral health education.

Finally it is a really meaningful support from the DWLF to our community as well as
for Nepalese people. Everyday the people from my community ask me for German dentist,
because they did the pretty well service here in Trishuli. And hope that in coming days
it will be continue.

Thank you very much.
